Tax Benefits for Contracting ReComS Group
An Exempt Business operating under the Puerto Rico Tax Incentive Act of 1998 (“1998 TIA”) or under prior tax incentive acts allows to take a double deduction by contracting ReComS for:
- Research & development services related to new products or industrial process.
- Improvements of the existing industrial process and/or the products.
One deduction shall be granted under Section 1023 (a)(1)(A) of the Puerto Rico Internal Revenue Code of 1994 (“PR Code”) as an ordinary and necessary business expense, and the other deduction shall be granted under Section 4(c)(1) of the 1998 TIA as a research and development expense.
